Two terrorists were killed on Thursday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore area of Baramulla district
The encounter broke out in Dangarpora village in Sopore area.
Police have also recovered arms and ammunition from the site of encounter.
Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “02 #terrorists killed. #Arms & ammunition recovered. #Identities & #affiliations are being ascertained.”
Troops from the Rashtriya Rifles (RR), the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched the cordon and search operation after receiving a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the area.
As a precaution, authorities have suspended mobile internet services in Sopore.
