Two terrorists were killed on Saturday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam, police said.
The security forces launched a cordon and search operation following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of a group of terrorists in Hardmand Guri village in Kulgam.
The exchange of fire is currently going on.
Jammu and Kashmir police in a tweet said, “This operation based on a credible police input was launched this morning .Two terrorists reportedly killed so far. Exchange of fire is going on.”
Kashmir Zone Police earlier tweeted, “#Encounter has started between Police/SFs & terrorists in Hardmand Guri, Manzgam #Kulgam. Same group of #terrorists trapped who killed 3 civilians recently. Details shall follow”.
