Three terrorists were killed on Friday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The exchange of fire was reported from Dragad Sugan area of the district.
Kashmir Zone Police earlier tweeted, “Exchange of #fire between #securityforces & #terrorists at #Shopian. Area under #cordon. #Search is going on. Details will follow.”
Security forces had surrounded an orchard area of Dragad-Sugan village after receiving specific inputs about the presence of terrorists there.
“The terrorists opened fire when the security forces zeroed in on them,” said police.
According to the reports, the operation is underway.
