Security forces arrested four militants after a brief gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.
The newly recruited militants were trying to cross into Pakistan Occupied Kashmir for training.
According to reports, security forces surrounded the militants and asked them to surrender. Four militants gave in, but three escaped under the cover of the firing that followed.
The security forces and the Special Operations Group of the state police launched a search operation in Kalaroos forests on Saturday.
“During the search operation, all the four were arrested. The operation is still going on,” security sources said.
