One militant was on Monday killed in a shootout with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the sources, an overground worker of militants was also killed in the gunfight.
Police sources said the exchange of fire began after a patrol party of the Rashtriya Rifles (RR)was fired upon by militants in village of Shopian district.
The fire was returned which resulted in a brief shootout between the security forces and the militants in which one militant and an overground worker were killed, police said.
Meanwhile, mobile Internet services have been suspended in the area as a precautionary measure.
