Security forces on Wednesday morning busted a militant hideout near the native village of hizbul commander Riyaz Naikoo in Avantipora of pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the police sources, the area was cordoned off early morning and there was no contact with militants till operation was on.
Security forces launched search operation in the Badriwan forests of Awantipora area following specific information about the presence of militants there.
“A militant hideout was busted during this operation,” a police officer said.
Mobile and internet services were also suspended as a precautionary measure.
