Jammu and Kashmir: India, Pakistan trade heavy fire along LoC in Poonch

The exchange of fire took place on Friday morning between the soldiers of India and Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to an army official, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in Mankote and Krishna Ghati sectors of the district at around 7:30 am.

“Pakistan army used small arms and mortars to target Indian positions,” Army official added.

“The Indian Army is retaliating effectively,” said the official.
