Three terrorists were killed on Sunday in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral.
Police have recovered arms and ammunition from the site of encounter.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “03 #terrorists killed. #Arms & ammunition recovered. Identities& affiliations being ascertained.”
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area after receiving specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists there, an official said.
As the security forces were conducting the searches, the terrorists fired at them, triggering an encounter, an official added.
