The Income Tax Department officials on Friday conducted raids at multiple properties of TDP MP CM Ramesh in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
A team of IT department officials raided residence and offices of CM Ramesh in Hyderabad and at Potladurti in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
The raids began simultaneously in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh around 8:00 am.
Ramesh, a Rajya Sabha member, was in Delhi when properties linked to him were raided and he confirmed that I-T raids are under progress on his properties.
Reacting to the developments, Ramesh said, “It is a clear-cut case of political vendetta. Centre has been targeting our leaders from last 15 days in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal and now Andhra Pradesh.”
According to the reports, there have been a series of IT raids on TDP leaders in past few days. Searches were conducted at the houses and offices of TDP leader and industrialist Beeda Masthan Rao in Andhra Pradesh and TDP Parliamentary Party Leader YS Chowdhary’s offices.
Moreover, Income Tax officials raided many industrialists close to TDP leaders in the last week, party sources said.
