India’s COVID-19 cases rise to 3,66,946, Death toll at 12,237

India’s COVID-19 cases has risen to 3,66,946 with 12,237 fatalities, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.

There are 1,60,384 active cases while 1,94,324 have been cured/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,16,752 with 5,651 fatalities.

Tamil Nadu continues to be the second-worst hit state with 50,193 COVID-19 cases and 576 deaths, followed by Delhi with 47,102 cases and 1,904 deaths, Gujarat – 25,093 cases and 1,560 fatalities.

A total of 62,49,668 samples have been tested so far of which 1,65,412 samples have been tested in last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.
