India’s COVID-19 cases rise to 26,496, Death toll at 824

Coronavirus cases in India has risen to 26,496 with 824 deaths. There are 19,868 active cases while 5,803 have been cured/discharged, Heath Ministry said on Sunday.

Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases – 7,628, followed by Gujarat – 3,071, Delhi – 2,625, Madhya Pradesh – 2,096 and Rajasthan – 2,083.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 11am today through his monthly programme ‘Mann ki Baat’.

“Have been getting several insightful inputs for this month’s #MannKiBaat. Do tune at 11 am tomorrow,” PM Modi tweeted on Saturday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath yesterday said that no public gatherings will be allowed in the state till June 30.

Worldwide, more than 2.8 million people have been infected from virus and over 200,000  have lost their lives.
