The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced that Virat Kohli will lead the Indian team in all the three formats (Test, ODI and T20I) in West Indies for the upcoming series, starting on August 3.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been rested for the entire tournament, Jasprit Bumrah has been included in Test squad. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan, who has recovered completely after sustaining an injury on his thumb, returns to ODI and T20I teams.

Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Washington Sundar, and Navdeep Saini have been included in the squad for the limited-overs.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be unavailable for the West Indies tour as he would be serving his paramilitary regiment.

“India’s squad for 3 T20Is: Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (WK), Krunal Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini,” BCCI said in a tweet.

“India’s squad for 3 ODIs: Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kedar Jadhav, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Navdeep Saini,” BCCI said.

“India’s squad for 2 Tests: Virat Kohli (Captain), Ajinkya Rahane (VC), Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul, C Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant (WK) Wriddhiman Saha (WK), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav,” BCCI added.

Harsha Bhogle in a tweet said, “I hope the selectors make it clear who the no 1 keeper for the tests is. Saha is clearly the better keeper, was the incumbent when injured. But if Pant is the keeper they want to go with, there is little to be gained by having Saha hanging around.”
