With 20,346 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 222 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,03,95,278 while the death toll rose to 1,50,336, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,00,16,859 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,28,083 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.36%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.84 crore samples have been tested up to January 6 of which 9,37,590 samples were tested yesterday.
