With 18,139 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 234 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,04,13,417 while the death toll rose to 1,50,570, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,00,37,398 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,25,449 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.39%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.93 crore samples have been tested up to January 7 of which 9,35,369 samples were tested yesterday.
