With 16,946 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 198 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,05,12,093 while the death toll rose to 1,51,727, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,01,46,763 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,13,603 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.52%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 18.42 crore samples have been tested up to January 13 of which 7,43,191 samples were tested yesterday.
