With 12,689 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 137 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,06,89,527 while the death toll rose to 1,53,724, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,03,59,305 have been cured/discharged. There are 1,76,498 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.91%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 19.36 crore samples have been tested up to January 26 of which 5,50,426 samples were tested yesterday.
