With 62,064 COVID-19 cases and 1007 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s tally rose to 22,15,075, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 15,35,744 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 6,34,945 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 69.33%.
A total of 44,386 coronavirus patients have lost their lives.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Monday said a total of 2,45,83,558 samples have been tested up to August 9 of which 4,77,023 samples were tested yesterday.
