India recorded 53,601 fresh COVID-19 cases and 871 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 22,68,676, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 15,83,490 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 6,39,929 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 69.80%.
A total of 45,257coronavirus patients have lost their lives.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Tuesday said a total of 2,52,81,848 samples have been tested up to August 10 of which 6,98,290 samples were tested yesterday.
