With 20,549 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 286 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,02,44,852 while the death toll rose to 1,48,439, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 98,34,141 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,62,272 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 95.99%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.09 crore samples have been tested up to December 29 of which 11,20,281 samples were tested yesterday.
