India on Friday recorded 64,553 cases and 1007 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 24,61,191, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 17,51,556 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 6,61,595 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 70.77%.
A total of 48,040 coronavirus patients have lost their lives.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Friday said a total of 2,76,94,416 samples have been tested up to August 13 of which 8,48,728 samples were tested yesterday.
