With 21,821 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 299 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,02,66,674 while the death toll rose to 1,48,738, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 98,60,280 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,57,656 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.04%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.20 crore samples have been tested up to December 30 of which 11,27,244 samples were tested yesterday.
