Council for Indian School Certificate Examination CISCE today declared the results of ICSE Class 10th and ISC Class 12th at 3 pm. Examinations for ICSE class 10 were held between February 26 and March 28, and examinations for ISC class 12 were held between February 7 and April 2, 2018. More than 81,000 candidates took the ISC Class 12 boards exam while around 1.84 lakh students appeared for the ICSE Class 10 board exam this year.
The students can check the results through cisce.org.
The results will also be available via SMS, the candidates have to type ICSE or ISC followed by their seven-digit unique ID code and send the message to 09248082883.
The pass percentage for ICSE class 10 is 98.51%, whereas the pass percentage for ISC class 12 is 96.21 %.
CISCE has reduced the pass percentage this year. A student will now need 33 instead of 35 per cent for passing ICSE exams and 35 instead of 40 per cent for ISC exams. “Among many recommendations made by the Inter-Board Working Group (IBWG), it was suggested that all boards in the country should have the same pass marks criteria,” said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary of CISCE.
