Five people were killed and five others injured on Thursday morning when the jeep they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge at Padhar in Mandi district.
The locals were rushed to the spot to provide immediate relief.
Reports said, 10 people were on the jeep, of which five died on the spot. The injured were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The driver lost control over the vehicle and rolled down the 250-metre-deep gorge, sources said.
