Heavy rainfall lashed parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday, bringing much-needed relief for the people from the severe heat conditions.
Intense rain and thundershower were witnessed in most parts of Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad.
The temperature on Wednesday morning was recorded a notch below the season’s average at 24.3 degrees Celsius, said India Meteorological Department (IMD).
There have been reports of water logging in different parts of Delhi due to heavy rainfall.
Delhi traffic police tweeted, “Obstruction in traffic at Loni Chowk roundabout, at Apsara border and near Kashmere Gate, Boulevard Road metro station gate no. 6 due to waterlogging.”
