Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday announced Rs 252 crore for development works in Rania, Kalanwali and Sirsa assembly constituencies. Apart from this, the Chief Minister announced a government college for girls and Railway Over Bridge in Ding Mandi.
Addressing a gathering at Sirsa, Manohar lal announced development works worth Rs 67 crore for Kalanwali Assembly Constituency, Rs 52 crore for Rania Assembly Constituency and Rs 133 crore for Sirsa Assembly Constituency. He said that development works amounting to more than Rs 2,000 crore have been undertaken in five assembly constituencies of district Sirsa during last four years. In coming time, development works of about Rs 500 crore would be undertaken in district Sirsa.
Labeling the previous government as BBC (Badli, Bharti aur CLU) government, the Chief Minister said that during the tenure of previous governments, eligible youth did not get employment. Discontinuing with the system of giving jobs on recommendations, the present State Government has started providing jobs on merit basis to youth. The State Government had also started programmes for skill development of youth to make them employable, he added.
Apart from development works, the present State Government has also undertaken works to bring social change which have yielded better results. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had launched the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme from Haryana which has shown encouraging results. He also said that the Swachhta Abhiyan was also launched with public participation which has also yielded better results.
Chief Minister urged the farmers not to burn crop residue and adopt the measures being provided by the government for management of crop residue to protect environment. He also recommended the people to be aware of the schemes and policies of the government and make sure that every single person gets benefitted.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar said that after being sworn in as the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal had raised the slogan of Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek and by adhering to this slogan, he had carried out equitable development across the state. The Chairman, Haryana Tourism Corporation, Jagdish Chopra also spoke on this occasion.
