Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah tests positive for COVID-19

Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday said that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and has been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors.

He requested all those who came in contact with him to check out for symptoms and to quarantine themselves.

“I have been tested positive for #Covid19 & also been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors as a precaution. I request all those who had come in contact with me to check out for symptoms & to quarantine themselves,” Siddaramaiah tweeted.

He is the newest addition to a list of politicians who have been hit by the virus.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa have been tested COVID-19 positive.
