An encounter broke out on Sunday morning between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Reban area of Shopian following specific information about the presence of terrorists there.
The search operation turned into an encounter as terrorists opened fire at security forces, who retaliated.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#Encounter has started at #Reban area of #Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
