Dhirendra Singh, the main accused of Ballia incident, was arrested by UP Police’s Special Task Force (STF) on Sunday.
The STF team arrested Dhirendra Singh from Lucknow.
He was arrested a day after he filed a “surrender application”. Two other accused, Santosh Yadav and Amarjeet Yadav were also arrested.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday alleged that the BJP is supporting the Ballia shooting accused who has been absconding since the firing happened.
On Thursday, a man had died after bullets were fired during a meeting for allotment of shops under government quota, in Durjanpur village of Ballia.
