Arvind Kejriwal gets interim bail till June 1

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail till June 1 to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case linked to Delhi excise policy scam.

A Bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta ordered Kejriwal to surrender on June 2.

The Bench said it will pass detailed order later.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta vociferously opposed the grant of interim bail to Kejriwal and cited the case of Amritpal Singh who was seeking his release to contest Lok Sabha polls.
