At least six people were killed and 11 others were injured in a massive fire that broke out in a multi-storey residential building in Delhi’s Zakir Nagar on Monday night.
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
The fire broke out at a multi-storey building located in Zakir Nagar, a heavily populated area near Jamia Millia Islamia University in the national capital.
About 20 people were rescued from the spot. Those injured include people who jumped off the building to save their lives. The injured were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
According to the reports, several cars and motorcycles were burnt in the blaze.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
