Delhi Metro services will begin at 4 AM on August 15 from all terminal stations across the network to facilitate the movement of special guests, invitees and the general public attending the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort.
According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), trains will operate at a 30-minute frequency on all lines from 4 AM until regular revenue services begin as per the scheduled timetable for the day.
The Lal Quila, Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate metro stations are the nearest stations to the Independence Day celebration venue and are expected to serve a large number of passengers.
The special early-morning service has been arranged to ensure convenient and smooth transportation for people travelling to attend the 80th Independence Day celebrations in the national capital. Passengers have been advised to plan their journey accordingly and use the metro to avoid traffic-related inconvenience around the Red Fort.
