Delhi: Metro services to start at 4 am on polling day

The Delhi Metro will run its trains two hours earlier than regular timing on May 12 in an attempt to facilitate arrangements for the elections in Delhi.

The train services will begin from 4 AM instead of 6 AM.

On the day of the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi on May 12, the Delhi Metro train services on all Lines will start from 4:00 AM.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, “In an attempt to facilitate arrangements for the elections in Delhi on 12 May 2019. Delhi Metro will run at 30-minute intervals from 4 AM to 6 AM on all the lines.”

“Normal services on all lines will resume at 6 AM. Service from Dwarka Sector 21 to Vaishali will begin at 4:30 AM,” DRDC added.

Delhi will go for voting on May 12 in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Polls and the counting of votes will take place on May 23.
