A Delhi court on Wednesday sent Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik to the custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) till April 22. The agency had sought Malik’s custodial interrogation in connection with a case related to funding of separatists and terror groups in Jammu and Kashmir.
Malik was produced before special judge Rakesh Syal where the NIA arrested him inside the courtroom and sought 15-day custodial interrogation.
The JKLF chief, who was shifted to Tihar jail, was taken into preventive custody in February by the Jammu and Kashmir police and shifted to Jammu’s Kot Balwal jail.
