COVID-19 cases in India rise to 3,80,532, Death toll at 12,573

India’s COVID-19 cases has risen to 3,80,532 with 12,573 fatalities, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday.

There are 1,63,248 active cases while 2,04,710 have been cured/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,20,504 with 5,751 fatalities.

Tamil Nadu continues to be the second-worst hit state with 52,334 COVID-19 cases and 625 deaths, followed by Delhi with 49,979 cases and 1,969 deaths, Gujarat – 25,601 cases and 1,591 fatalities.

A total of 64,26,627 samples have been tested so far of which 1,76,959 samples have been tested in last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.
