COVID-19 cases in India rose to 35,043, with 1,147 fatalities. There are 25,007 active cases while 8,888 have been cured/discharged, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases – 10,498, followed by Gujarat – 4,395, Delhi – 3,515, Madhya Pradesh – 2,660 and Rajasthan – 2,584.
PM Modi yesterday held a comprehensive meeting to discuss strategies to attract more foreign investments into India as well as to promote local investments in order to give a boost to the economy against the backdrop of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The meeting was attended by the Finance Minister, the Home Minister, the Minister for Commerce & Industries, MoS (Finance) along with senior officials of the Government of India.
The virus which was first originated from China’s Wuhan have infected more than 33 lakh people worldwide and over 2 lakh have died.
