Coronavirus death toll jumps to 361 in China

The death toll in China from the deadly coronavirus outbreak has risen to 361 on Monday, with 57 new fatalities reported on Sunday.

China now has 17205 confirmed cases of the virus, health officials announced on Monday.

India on Sunday temporarily suspended e-visa facility for Chinese travellers and foreigners residing in China with immediate effect.

The coronavirus was first detected in China’s Wuhan in late December and has now spread across the globe.

Air India’s special flight yesterday airlifted the second batch of 323 stranded Indians and seven Maldivian citizens from coronavirus-hit Wuhan city, taking the total number of people evacuated to 654.
