Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra rise to 63

The total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra rose to 63 on Saturday, with 11 new cases reported overnight, officials said.

While one case is from Pune, 10 are from Mumbai, officials added.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday announced that all offices in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Pimpri Chinchwad in Maharashtra will be closed till March 31 to fight coronavirus

All shops have also been shut, only essential services will be operational, adding to it, the Chief Minister said all private companies have been told to let employees work from home and government offices in the state would operate at 25 percent attendance.

The number of coronavirus cases in the country crossed 250, according to the Health Ministry.
