India’s COVID-19 cases has risen to 3,54,065 as it recorded 10,974 fresh infections in last 24 hours. A total of 11,903 coronavirus patients have lost their lives, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
There are 1,55,227 active cases while 1,86,934 have been cured/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.
Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,13,445 with 5,537 fatalities.
Tamil Nadu continues to be the second-worst hit state with 48,019 COVID-19 cases and 528 deaths, followed by Delhi with 44,688 cases and 1,837 deaths, Gujarat – 24,577 cases and 1,533 fatalities.
A total of 60,84,256 samples have been tested so far of which 1,63,187 samples have been tested in last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.
