Centre and protesting farmers on Wednesday reached a consensus on issues related to environment and Electricity Act at the sixth round of talks. The meeting which started around 2 pm, went on for over four hours.
While a consensus was reached talks will continue between the two sides as the discussion will continue on the legal aspect of MSP and other issues on January 4.
The fresh round of talks was held to end the deadlock over the agriculture laws that has led massive protests at various border points of the national capital for over the last month.
The Centre has held several rounds of talks with farmer unions over new laws but failed to break the deadlock.
Thousands of farmers have been protesting since November 26, demanding the repeal of three farm laws.
