Rahul Gandhi courted arrest after staging a protest outside the CBI headquarters and was later taken to the Lodhi Colony police station.

Gandhi earlier in the day urged people to join them in the protests.

They began their march from Dayal Singh College on Lodhi Road to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Head Quarters to protest the Prime Minister Narendra Modi disgraceful & unconstitutional attempt to block an investigation into the Rafale scam by removing the CBI Chief.

TMC’s Nadimul Haque, Loktantrik Janata Dal leader Sharad Yadav and CPI’s D Raja also joined the Congress protest.

Hundreds of security personnel were positioned outside the CBI office on Lodhi Road as protesters streamed into the area.
