Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday visited DMK Chief M Karunanidhi at Kauvery hospital in Chennai.
Speaking to reporters after visiting Karunanidhi, he said: “I have come to see Karunanidhiji, he is fine and stable, I am very happy to see that he is doing well. He is a strong person and has a spirit of Tamil Nadu in him”.
Congress president said his mother Sonia Gandhi has sent her best wishes to Karunanidhi and his family.” Congress party has a long-standing relationship with DMK chief Mr. Karunanidhi”, he further added.
“I visited Kalaignar today. Wonderful to see that the Tamil fighting spirit that has endeared him to millions, is still strong! I join his fans all around the world, his well-wishers and his family, in wishing him a speedy recovery”, tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
Karunanidhi, who was suffering from fever due to urinary tract infection was admitted to Kauvery Hospital on Saturday.
