Charred body of soldier recovered from Kupwara army camp

A charred body of a soldier has been found inside an army camp at Panzgam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.

The police has identified the deceased army man as that of 31-year-old Mushtaq Ahmad Pir (Belt number 32009), son of Mohammad Yaseen of Maidan Chowgal Handwara.

“The body has been recovered from the camp and sent to Kupwara hospital for post mortem,” a police official  told media persons.

Police is now investigating the incident. A police party has been sent to the 175 Territorial Army regiment camp to carry out preliminary probe. Police says the cause of Pir’s death will be revealed after proper investigation.
