CBI files FIR against former Bihar Minister Manju Verma, husband under Arms Act

An FIR was filed against Former Bihar Minister Manju Verma and her husband Chandrasekhar Verma under Arms Act.

As per the sources, CBI had earlier conducted raids at 12 locations including Manju’s Patna residence in Begusarai and recovered fifty cartridges.

CBI had further questioned former Bihar social welfare minister Damodar Rawat, who was accused of having alleged links with the main accused in the shelter home rape cases, Brajesh Thakur.

However, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar said in a statement, if anything came up against the culprits during the investigation, would not be spared.

Bihar social welfare minister Manju Verma resigned on August 8 over accusations against her husband, who is accused of having links to Brajesh Thakur of Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case.

As many as 34 minor girls were sexually assaulted at a shelter home, which was run by Brajesh Thakur’s NGO at Bihar’s Muzaffarpur.
