CAG report on Rafale deal tabled in Parliament

The much-awaited Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report on the Rafale defence deal has been tabled in Parliament on Wednesday, even as Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and other leaders protest outside Parliament.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi were also present.

The report is expected to have the CAG’s findings on the Rafale jet deal.

The Rafale fighter jet deal for the procurement of 36 fighter jets from France’s Dassault Rafale has generated a massive controversy with the Congress alleging wrong doing and the BJP saying no wrong was done.
