On June 14 following the results of Rajasthan local body by-elections, the BJP has won 13 out of 27 seats.
The by-polls were conducted on one seat of the Zila Parishad in Sawaimadhopur, 17 seats of Panchayat Samitis and nine seats of Nagar Palika/Parishad in 17 districts of the state.
Bhajan Lal Sharma, BJP state general secretary, has said that the people have once again shown faith in the party.
However, Sachin Pilot, Pradesh Congress Committee president, has said that urban voters have given their mandate against the BJP.
People have rejected BJP due to its anti-people policies, Pilot added.

It retained one seat of Zila Parishad. Congress candidate Lokesh defeated BJP’s candidate Kamal with a margin of 358 votes.
The Congress won rest of the five seats of Panchayat Samitis and five seats of Nagar Palika/Parishad
Independent candidates also won one panchayat Samiti seat and one Nagar Palika seat.
