BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday met Union Defence Minister and party leader Rajnath Singh at his residence.
Rajnath Singh welcomed Scindia to the BJP and said his joining will help in further strengthening the party.
“Met with Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia today. I welcome him to the BJP. His joining will help in further strengthening the party. I extend my best wishes to him in all his endeavours. @JM_Scindia,” Rajnath tweeted.
Scindia who resigned from the Congress on Tuesday joined BJP on Wednesday.
He joined the BJP in presence of party president JP Nadda.
After joining the party Scindia in a tweet thanked BJP leaders for accepting and welcoming him.
“Thanking @JPNadda ji, @narendramodiji, @AmitShahji & members of the BJP family for accepting& welcoming me. It’s not just a turning point in my life,but also an opportunity for me to continue my commitment towards public service under the inspirational leadership of PM Modi ji,” Scindia tweeted.
