Bilateral dialogues and Kartarpur corridor are two different things, says Sushma Swaraj

External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj on November 28 said that though India hails any move towards regional peace with the development of the Kartarpur corridor, India will not engage in any kind of dialogue process unless Pakistan stops terror activities in India.

EAM Swaraj during a press conference at Hyderabad said, “The moment Pakistan stops terrorist activities in India, the dialogue can start but the dialogue is not connected with only the Kartarpur corridor.”

“Bilateral dialogues and Kartarpur corridor are two different things. I am very happy that for the last 20 years, rather many years, the government of India has been asking for this Kartarpur corridor. For the first time, Pakistan responded positively to this,” the EAM further said.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan today will open the ground-breaking ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor linking Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, the final resting place of Sikh faith founder Guru Nanak Dev in Pakistan, to Dera Baba Nanak shrine in India’s Gurdaspur.

Indian Union ministers Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Hardeep Singh Puri, and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu are attending the ceremony at Narowal, 120 km from Lahore.
