Bihar Seat-Sharing: BJP, JD(U) to contest 17 seats each, LJP gets 6 in 2019 Lok Sabha elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) will contest on 17 seats each and Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party will contest on six seats for next year’s general elections in Bihar.

Ram Vilas Paswan, his son Chirag and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held an hour-long meeting with BJP chief Amit Shah at his residence in Delhi today.

This announcement was made at a press conference on Sunday. It came two days after a meeting between Amit Shah and Ram Vilas Paswan and Chirag Paswan on the seat sharing deal ended on acceptable terms.

BJP chief Amit Shah also said that Ram Vilas Paswan will contest for a Rajya Sabha seat from the NDA in the next Rajya Sabha elections.
