A local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Wednesday was shot dead in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district by an unidentified person, police said.
The deceased was identified as Baiju Prasad Gupta.
According to the reports, the incident happened while the victim was sitting at his medical facility. An individual asked him about some medicine before shooting him.
Police was immediately rushed to the spot.
The victim was shifted to a hospital but died later.
Police said, they are trying to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
