Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday kick-started the election campaigning in Bihar by addressing his first rally at Bada Maidan in Sasaram.
In his address, PM Modi slammed the opposition for promising to overturn the NDA government’s decision to abrogate Article 370.
“The NDA government abrogated Article 370. The whole country was waiting for years for removal of it. But these people say they will bring it back if they come to power. After saying such things they dare to ask for votes from Bihar? Is this not an insult of Bihar? The state which sends its sons and daughters to the borders to protect the country?” Modi said.
“I want to clarify to all these people from Bihar, the land of farmers and soldiers, they can take the help of anyone they want but the country will not go back on its decisions,” Modi added.
Bihar with 243 Assembly seats will go to polls in three phases. The first phase of elections will be held on October 28, the second phase of elections will be held on November 3 and the last phase of elections will be held on November 7. The results will be declared on November 10.
